The 26-year-old victim, whose identity was not immediately released, was headed north on the freeway, just past Temescal Canyon Road, when the collision occurred, according to California Highway Patrol Officer Sylvia Mosley.
A Temecula man and a Phoenix, Ariz., man, driving separate vehicles, were also involved in the crash, which was reported at 7:42 a.m., she said.
The men were treated for minor injuries and released from a hospital, according to Mosley.
All northbound lanes on I-15 were shut down for roughly three hours while the wreckage was cleared.
The cause of the collision was under investigation.

I just barely missed being in this accident and was one of the first on the scene. I attended one of the victims, and only later became aware of the woman who had died. I would love to know her name and more about her if you can share any of that …..Thank you for helping bring some closure to this awful; tragedy

Jim… I rolled up to that accident about 20 minutes later (on a motorcycle). A Sheriffs deputy on a motorcycle told several of us there was a fatality, so even the bikes could not go ahead. He then escorted a large group of us back a mile and a half or so to the Temescal Canyon exit. It was odd to ride against traffic on the shoulder, and I was thankful he allowed us to do it.
That was the last thing I expected on a Friday—it’s usually Friday light and a mellow commute. Rarely an accident on a Friday morning. Such a tragedy—Did you see how it happened?
Hello my name is Albert. My cousin is the Boyfriend of the woman who passed. He would like to correspond with you Jim on what happened for his own closure. Please email me with a number to get ahold of you so I can put you two in touch.
Thank you,

I came up on this accident about 5 minutes after it happened, and was just shocked to see how severe it was. I am so truly sorry for the family and friends of this young woman. I have been thinking about it ever since it happened and feel so deeply saddened that she lost her life.
For me this accident really hit home since 7 years ago my step father was killed in almost the same location on the I-15 North. I too had driven by my step father’s accident at the time and had no idea it was him since the vehicle was unrecognizable.
My heart really goes out to this young woman’s family. Does anyone know what caused this accident?
Julie

Just wanted you to know that I was on the scene right after the accident and assisted in helping remove your cousin from the car to provide first aid. Please know that there were many commuters that stopped to help and that I prayed for her upon her passing. From what I could tell she did not suffer. All of you will be in my family’s prayers.
I am also Holly’s Brother, the woman who was killed in this accident. Any information from anyone who was on the scene would be a great deal of help. I can be reached by email. corey.ahia@sbcglobal.net

Was speed a factor in this accident, I know through experience people drive extremely fast on this part of the freeway, even when they can see that traffic is slowing down 100 feet ahead, people keep speeding up until they get to the stopped vehicle. Slow down, this is what happens when you drive too fast for the conditions. Instead of stating the obvious,” sorry for your loss” we need to figure out how to stop these accidents, and the answer is simple, slow down or risk this. Today 5/21/10 there was another fatal accident on the 15 north 91 east transition. Horrible accident involving a motorcycle and a big rig. You get the picture. Anyways, slow down, you speed you’ll eventually kill someone or yourself,
