A 59-year-old man Menifee man could face the death penalty after being charged today with murder in connection with the fatal shooting at a Temecula bed-and-breakfast.
Louis Joseph DiBernardo has been charged with murder and the special circumstance that DiBernardo was lying in wait when the killing of Victor Borcherds occurred, said John Hall, spokesman for Riverside County District Attorney Rod Pacheco. DiBernardo, who is being held without bail, is scheduled to be arraigned Monday afternoon at the Southwest Detention Center, Hall said.
DiBernardo also faces charges of kidnapping in connection with his actions against Borcherds
