Man and woman plead not guilty to slaying of Hemet 14-year-old

Two of three people arrested in connection with the fatal shooting of a 14-year-old Hemet teenager have been charged with murder, while the case against the final suspect is continuing, authorities said.

On Monday, Hemet residents Michael Wayne Delacruz, 23, Marie Luisa Lemus, 25, pleaded not guilty to murder and denied the allegation that a firearm was used in the killing of Ruben Alfaro, according to court records.

They are being held in lieu of $1 million bail. They are scheduled to return to court June 29, when Lemus has requested a hearing to consider reducing her bail.

The teen was killed by a shot gun blast to the chest two weeks ago as he walked along Alessandro Street.

Delacruz is believed to be the person who fired the round that killed Alfaro, Hemet police have said, and Lemus and Villanueva are believed to be in the car at the time of the killing. Some of Alfaro

The HEMET POLICE never have a clue whats really going on in the streets thats why they get no respect, Michael Delacruz didnt shoot anybody and is not a gang member, MAYBE if the cops werent so lame they might have a chance at catching the killer and not ruining an innocent man and womans life. And to the family of the 14 yr old gang member that was killed, either stop with the threats or do something already lames.
