The city of Murrieta will hold an informational meeting Monday at Vista Murrieta High School to address the public about closures and detours during the month of August that are related to improvements on the Clinton Keith Road bridge and its on- and off-ramps to Interstate 215.
The first of several closures will be the northbound on- and off-ramps and will take place from 10 p.m. Aug. 1 to 5 a.m. Aug. 10 and again from 10 p.m. Aug. 27 to 5 a.m. Aug. 30. The ramps will be closed to all traffic for ramp improvement construction, according to a city news release.
The southbound on- and off-ramps will be closed from 10 p.m. Aug. 20 to 5 a.m. Aug. 30.
Then from 10 p.m. Aug. 27 to 5 a.m. Aug. 30, the Clinton Keith Road bridge over Interstate 215 will be closed from McElwain Road to Creighton Avenue for reconstruction at the intersections of Clinton Keith Road and the freeway on- and off-ramps.
There will be no traffic access allowed to the interstate from Clinton Keith Road during the road closure, city officials said. Traffic on Clinton Keith Road will be detoured at McElwain and Whitewood roads. Access to Vista Murrieta High School will be maintained from Whitewood and Clinton Keith roads east of Interstate 215 during the road closure, officials said.
Following completion of the road improvements on Aug. 30, Clinton Keith Road will be open for all traffic including the northbound and southbound on- and off-ramps to Interstate 215.
Monday’s meeting will begin at 6 p.m. in the Multi-Purpose Room at Vista Murrieta High School, 28251 Clinton Keith Road.
