Two armed suspects forced their way into a Riverside home today and held the occupants at gunpoint while they robbed them, authorities said.
The home invasion was reported around 10:30 a.m. at 19038 Springbrook Court, in the Orangecrest area of the city, according to Riverside police Sgt. Mark Rossi.
“It doesn’t appear anybody was hurt,” he said.
Surrounding law enforcement agencies were alerted to the robbery during a general broadcast.
The sheriff’s Moreno Valley and Perris units were told to be on the lookout for two shirtless black males, 15 to 18 years old, wearing dark shorts and armed with handguns.
The suspects had towels wrapped around their faces, apparently to mask their identities, authorities said.
It was not immediately clear what the pair took during the robbery. They fled the area in a vehicle, but no description was provided.
