The Los Angeles Lakers will face the Boston Celtics and recently signed center Shaquille O’Neal on Jan. 30 at Staples Center in a rematch of last season’s NBA Finals.
The NBA today released the remainder of its schedule, which calls for the Lakers to make 16 appearances on ESPN or ABC — the most of any team and the maximum allowed under the league’s television contract.
The league released the national network television schedule for games on opening week, Christmas Day and Martin Luther King Jr. Day last Tuesday.
The Lakers will open their season Oct. 26 against the Houston Rockets; face the Miami Heat on Christmas Day; and take on the Oklahoma City Thunder on Martin Luther King Jr. Day, Jan. 17.
Laker individual game tickets are expected to go on sale in early October.
