Nearly 400 homes lose power in San Diego

Almost 400 homes and businesses lost power today because of a problem with an underground electrical system.

The outage began just after 11 a.m. and knocked out power for 379 San Diego Gas & Electric customers in Clairemont, Linda Vista and Mission Valley.

Power was expected to be restored by 10 p.m., according to SDG&E.

Police had no immediate reports of inoperative traffic signals.
