Man allegedly robs Encinitas bank while wearing Raiders sweatshirt

A man wearing an Oakland Raiders sweatshirt robbed a Wells Fargo bank in Encinitas today and escaped, authorities said.

The man entered the bank in the 200 block of North El Camino Real at around 1:40 p.m. and demanded money, according to the San Diego County Sheriff’s Department.

The suspect did not show a weapon, but was given money by a bank employee, the sheriff’s department said.

The man then fled the scene on foot.

The suspect is described as white, in his early 20s, 5 feet 10 inches tall, with blonde short hair and was wearing a black Raiders sweatshirt.
