Recklessly driven pickup involved in crash with big rig in Riverside

A driver of a pickup truck that collided with a semi-trailer today while allegedly driving recklessly on Interstate 215 was not injured, California Highway Patrol officers said.

A witness reported a white Ford Ranger pickup truck was “all over the road” and “cutting off other vehicles” near the Central Avenue exit shortly after 1 p.m., according to the CHP. The Ranger was struck by the truck while the motorist was still talking with the call center, a CHP dispatcher said.

No injuries were reported, the dispatcher said.
