Moreno Valley home damaged by garage fire

A Moreno Valley home was damaged today by a fire that started in the garage, said Riverside County Fire Department spokeswoman Jody Hageman.

The fire in the garage of a residence in 21400 block of Townsendia Ave. of Moreno Valley, was reported at 11:15 a.m. and spread to the two-story home. Three fire engines and 26 firefighters were dispatched and the blaze was contained by 11:52 a.m.

No injuries were reported and the cause of the fire is under investigation, Hageman said.
