UPDATE:
Riverside County Fire Department reported that four victims have been extricated from the two vehicle crash on the Winchester Road section of state Route 79 at Simpson Road in Winchester and will be transported by ambulance for evaluation and treatment of minor injuries.
ORIGINAL STORY:
Rescue workers are trying to free a person trapped in a vehicle involved in a traffic accident on Winchester Road in the Winchester area, the California Highway Patrol is reporting.
The accident was reported at 1:44 p.m. between a Ford Ranger and Expedition, the CHP is reporting on its website.
The accident occurred near Winchester Road (Highway 79) and Simpson Road.
One person is reported to be trapped in a vehicle that is currently upside down and one passenger reportedly ran away to the north.
