The University of Nebraska football team, playing in the Bridgepoint Education Holiday Bowl for the second year in a row, is scheduled to arrive in San Diego this evening.
The Cornhuskers, 10-3 after falling to Oklahoma in the Big 12 championship game earlier this month, will be staying at the Sheraton Harbor Island Hotel & Marina.
On Thursday, they will take on the University of Washington, which finished 6-6 to qualify for its first college football post-season game in seven years.
In 2009, Nebraska defeated the University of Arizona 23-0 in the Holiday Bowl.
The squads are set to visit the San Diego Zoo on Sunday.

Sad even the wire stories are hit and miss on this site. The ‘Huskers won the 2009 Holiday Bowl 33-0, it was 23-0 at halftime.
You could’ve also mentioned how this year’s Holiday Bowl is a rematch from earlier this season in which Nebraska defeated UW 56-21.
But the fact that both teams are going to the zoo is probably more important.
