An Escondido man drove his car off a road into a residential yard, crashed into a tree and was seriously injured, Escondido Police reported today.
Police were told an injury crash occurred around 8:30 p.m. Saturday involving a 39-year-old driver who was traveling west on Felicita Road near Montview Drive and veered into a yard then slammed against a tree, Lt. Tom Albergo said.
Albergo said the man suffered serious injuries and was transported to a local hospital for treatment.
Police did not say if alcohol or drugs were involved at this time.
