Los Angeles Police Department detectives went to actor Charlie Sheen’s Mulholland Drive mansion tonight to investigate whether he had guns, which could be a violation of the temporary restraining order against him.
Police were notified that Sheen had guns in his name and arrived at the home about 7:45 p.m. and were clearing the scene about 10:30 p.m., LAPD Officer Norma Eisenman said.
The entertainment news website TMZ.com reported that officers entered the home when they received a call saying Sheen threatened to harm himself with a gun.
LAPD could not confirm who contacted police and prompted the search, Eisenman said.
