Grab a basket and get ready to search every tree, shrub and rock in Temecula and Murrieta parks.
On Saturday, starting at 9 a.m. both cities will host annual Easter celebrations. The Temecula event will be spread out over three parks — Harveston Park, Patricia H. Birdsall Park and Ronald Reagan Sports Park. The Temecula hunt starts at 10 a.m.
Across the valley in Murrieta, the city will unleash more than 10,000 colorful eggs at the City of Murrieta Community Services Department’s Spring EGGstravaganza.
The free event gets underway from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. at Town Square Park, located at 24701 Jefferson Ave., in Murrieta.
Egg hunts are for children ages 3-10 and there will be a separate egg hunt area for special needs children and for kids under the age of two. Participants can pose for pictures with the bunny and there will be a prize booth, along with some community vendors.
