Between 9 p.m. Thursday and 5 a.m. Friday, I-215 will be closed at Clinton Keith Road, where the overpass is being expanded to reduce traffic congestion.

The $15 million capital improvement project, which the city of Murrieta is overseeing, began in 2009 and is expected to wrap up in June.

During the closure, motorists will be detoured onto Clinton Keith, where they will immediately return to the freeway.

A half-mile stretch of Clinton Keith, between McElwain and Whitewood roads, will be closed to east- and westbound travelers while the detour is in effect, city officials said.
