For many Riverside County residents, Memorial Day Weekend is one, long fun day in the almost-summer sun. Whether it’s a barbecue with friends or a picnic at the park, take some time to enjoy the view.

Memorial Day Services at Elsinore Valley Cemetery

It’s a Memorial Day tribute like no other when Lake Elsinore’s Community-Wide Memorial Day Service kicks off at 10 a.m. on May 30 at the Elsinore Valley Cemetery. Revelers will be treated to skydivers, Missing Man Fly-over, 21-Gun Salute provided by Semper Fi Memorial Honor Detail, a North and South reenactment with Civil War cannons, and much more.
National Moment of Remembrance

In My Life: A Musical Tribute to the Beatles

See the whirlwind that was the Beatles through the eyes of manager Brian Epstein in the production of “In My Life – A Musical Theatre Tribute to the Beatles.” The award-winning musical biography of the Beatles will feature the live music of renowned tribute band, Abbey Road, and will take the stage at 7:30 p.m. on May 28 at Old Town Temecula Theater in Temecula.

The Goo Goo Dolls will kick off their live show at 8 p.m. on May 27-28 at the Showroom Theater at Pechanga. With 14 Top-10 singles, four Grammy award nominations, and nearly 9 million albums sold throughout the United States, fans can expect such favorite songs as “Iris,” “Slide,” and “Here is Gone,” to some tunes from their newer album titled, “Something for the Rest of Us.”

Organic foods, crafts, fresh fruits and vegetables and many local vendors make the Menifee Farmer’s Market a good place to be on a fine Sunday morning. The fun gets underway at 8 a.m. on May 29.
The English Beat at Wiens Family Cellars

The English Beat — a ska revival band — will perform in Temecula’s wine country on May 27 at Wiens Family Cellars. The concert, along with dinner and dancing amidst the beautiful rural Tuscan-inspired setting makes for an incredible evening.
