The boy, whose name was not released, suffered minor injuries, said Calfire spokeswoman Melody Hendrickson.

Emergency personnel were called out to 18300 block of Oak Park Drive at 4:25 p.m. Firefighters arrived and learned a 7-year-old had nearly drowned.

The incident prompted Calfire to issue another child pool safety warning. Calfire reminds adults to remember the ABCs of swimming: Assign an adult watcher to keep an eye on children at all time, make sure barriers are in place to prevent access to pools, and parents should take CPR and First Aid classes as well as take children to swimming course.
