A fourth suspect in the slayings of a teenage girl and boy gunned down at an Oceanside park last month was arrested Thursday in Sun City.
Documented gang member Tyrone Blackmon, 29, was taken into custody during a predawn probation search at a home in Sun City and booked on suspicion of being an accessory in the murders of Sandra Salgado, 14, and her 16-year-old boyfriend, Fernando Solano, Oceanside police Lt. Leonard Mata said.
A Facebook page has been established for the couple.
Patrol officers found the young couple’s bodies at Libby Lake Park about 10:30 p.m. May 3 while responding to reports of gunfire in the area.
Investigators have established no motive for the killings. The slain teens, both of whom lived in Oceanside, had no known gang ties, according to Mata.
Ten days ago, three other gang members pleaded not guilty to murder charges in the case.
Robert Bejaran, 19, was already in prison on a parole violation when he was arrested June 9 in connection with the killings. He faces 101 years to life in prison if convicted of two counts of murder, gang allegations and an accusation that he was personally armed with a gun during the murders.
Two members of Bejaran’s gang, 18-year-old Justin Holiday Gibson and 33-year-old Kenneth Dwight Hamilton, also were arrested two weeks ago and charged with double murder and gang allegations in the case. Each is in line for a sentence of 51 years to life if found guilty of all counts.
Bejaran is being held without bail and his co-defendants on $2 million bail each pending an Aug. 1 preliminary hearing.
Mata said he could not disclose how Blackmon is tied to the case.
