Three women were killed this morning when their car collided with a tractor-trailer on the southbound Orange (57) Freeway in Glendora and burst into flames, the California Highway Patrol reported.
The accident in the NO. 2 lane on the southbound 57 at Auto Center Drive was reported at 2:47 a.m, said CHP Officer Krystal Carter.
The CHP shut down all lanes of the southbound Orange Freeway and the transitions from the eastbound and westbound Foothill (210) Freeway to the southbound Orange Freeway while the accident debris was being removed and an investigation was under way, Carter said.
