Four people were injured Tuesday, one critically, when two vehicles collided head-on in Moreno Valley.

The crash was reported shortly after 11 a.m. near the intersection of Gilman Springs Road and Alessandro Boulevard, according to the Riverside County Fire Department.
One person had to be extricated from a vehicle and was taken by ground ambulance in critical condition to a local hospital. Three additional patients, one person with moderate injuries and two people with minor injuries, were also taken by ambulance to a local hospital, according to fire officials.
The crash is under investigation.
