Sheriff’s homicide detectives are investigating the death of a 29-year-old Moreno Valley man gunned down on a neighborhood street Wednesday evening.
The shooting was reported around 7:30 p.m. in the 24000 block of Myers Avenue, according to Central Homicide Sgt. Michael Lujan.
Officers were flagged down by two people who reported the shooting “standing near a white sedan stopped along the roadway of Meyers Avenue,” Lujan said in a news release.
Victor Arevalo was taken by ambulance to the Riverside County Regional Medical Center where he later died from the gunshot wounds, Lujan said.
The investigation is ongoing and no arrests have been made, Lujan said.
