A 28-year-old Temecula-area transient accused of a misdemeanor sexual battery is scheduled to be arraigned Friday, according to Riverside County jail records.
Joshua Robinson was arrested Tuesday afternoon outside Togo’s at 26580 Ynez Road in Temecula by Temecula police officers, the Riverside County Sheriff Department reported.
He approached a woman from behind inside Michael’s, a craft store, about 1 p.m. Tuesday and committed a sexual battery, according to the department.
Robinson fled the store after the incident. Responding Temecula police officers searched the area and located Robinson, taking him into custody without incident. Robinson also has been identified as a suspect in a child-annoyance incident that occurred Monday at the Wal-Mart store on the Temecula Parkway, according to the Sheriff’s Department. He was booked for that incident as well.
A sheriff’s statement said Robinson was known to loiter along the Winchester Road and Ynez Road business corridors, Rancho California Road business corridors, Old Town, the Temecula Parkway and State Highway 79 South Business corridors. Temecula police have received numerous allegations of suspicious or unusual activity involving Robinson.
He is being held at the Southwest Detention Center in lieu of $10,000 bail on suspicion of misdemeanor sexual battery and is due to make his initial court appearance this morning at the Southwest Justice Center in Murrieta.
Anyone with information on the suspect was urged to call the Riverside Sheriff’s Temecula station at 951-696-3000.

This “man” is out again, doing the same exact thing. He needs to be put away for good. Someone do something about this.
