A single-vehicle crash along the Ortega Highway was fatal to a Mission Viejo man Monday, the Riverside County Coroner’s office said.
Bijan Momtaz, 41, died after the SUV he was driving went over the side of the road and down the hillside about 300 feet from the heavily traveled two-lane highway that connects Lake Elsinore and Orange County, according to a coroner’s report.
Firefighters were called out to the crash at 11:08 a.m. after a witness reported seeing the vehicle go over the side of the road.
