“Gypsy” at Old Town Temecula Community Theater

Labor Day Celebration at Falkner Winery

Visit Falkner Winery and its Pinnacle Restaurant over Labor Day Weekend and you’ll get to enjoy a great lunch special as well as free Jazz in the outdoor lawn area from 12 to 3 p.m. on Sept. 3-4.

Residents are invited to McVicker Canyon Park for the Music With a View concert series. Presented by the Elsinore Valley Arts Network, the band Arrest My Sister will perform hits from the 70s, 80s and 90s from 7:30 to 9:30 p.m. on Sept. 3. The concert is free.
Science Saturdays at Western Science Center

For anyone looking for a little bit of learning wrapped up in a whole lot of fun, the Western Science Center is once again offering its popular Saturday series for families. An Archeology theme will spark young scientists’ imagination on Sept. 3.
Various spots throughout Old Town Temecula
Temecula’s Hot Summer Nights concert series is winding down with its final shows this weekend. Scheduled performances on Sept. 1 include Open Road at Baily’s Courtyard, Viento Libre at Palomar Hotel, Bayou Brothers at Rosa’s Cantina and Deejay at Children’s Museum. Concerts begin at 6 p.m., are free and are open to the public.
Labor Day Festival at Vail Lake

Come celebrate the long holiday weekend at Vail Lake’s Labor Day Festival. There will be music — four great tribute bands — and the “World’s Largest Mud Fight.” What’s not to love? The fun runs Sept. 2-4. Visit the website for all the details.
Champagne Jazz series at Thorton Winery

The deliciously smooth sounds of jazz are still humming through Temecula’s Wine Country. Treat yourself this Labor Day weekend with good fun, music and wine at Thornton Winery. Don’t miss George Benson, along with Brian Simpson, perform at 7 p.m. on Sept. 3. Tickets are $95.

Because girls love science, too, it’s going to be a girl’s night out at Temecula Children’s Museum. If your little one has an American Girl doll, bring her along. Come join the fun at 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. on Sept. 2 at the Temecula Children’s Museum in Old Town Temecula.
