A multiple vehicle collision Friday morning along the southbound Interstate 15 heading out of the Temecula and Fallbrook area and into Escondido has traffic backed up for at least seven miles.
The crash was reported around 8:20 a.m. at southbound Lawrence Welk Drive and involved six vehicles, according to the California Highway Patrol. Two of the vehicles reportedly overturned then landed on their wheels.
Traffic along the I-15 crawled for more than 25 minutes as authorities responded to the crash.
