Robber holds up Temecula gas station, suspect sought

Authorities were seeking the public’s help today in identifying a suspect who robbed a Temecula gas station.

The hold-up was at about 10 p.m. Thursday at a Shell station in the 42000 block of Margarita Road, according to Riverside County sheriff’s Sgt. Will Edwards.

He said a man confronted a clerk behind the counter and simulated a handgun underneath his sweatshirt, demanding that the employee empty the cash register.

“The clerk complied, and the suspect left the location on foot with an undisclosed amount of cash,” the sergeant said.

No one was injured.

The robber was described as Hispanic, in his early 20s, about 5-foot-9 and 200 pounds, wearing a purple hoodie-style sweatshirt, a black undershirt, red shorts and black sneakers.

Anyone with information was urged to call the sheriff’s Temecula station at 951-696-3000.

Hmmm, right down the street from the “affordable housing” units…AKA ghetto. They don’t bring more crime to the neighborhood though, at least according to the bleeding-heart liberals. I’ll bet he was illegal to boot!

There was another holdup this morning at a Gas station along Winchester Road and Murrieta Hot Springs Road early this morning….I stopped there to fill up my tank and there were cops everywhere taking pictures and talking….not sure if these incidents are connected, however.
