Poetry reading at Idyllwild Arts Academy

Lehua M. Taitano, writer, essayist and poet, is set to read from her recent works at 7:30 p.m. on Nov.11 at the Parks Exhibition Center on the campus of Idyllwild Arts. Taitano, a native Chamoru from Yigo, Guahån (Guam), has spent her lifetime residing either in the mountains or by the sea.

“Willy Wonka” at Temecula Theater

“Roald Dahl’s Willy Wonka” is the stuff of sweet dreams and it’s set to take center stage for its opening performance at 7 p.m. on Nov. 11 at Old Town Temecula Community Theater.

Murrieta Veterans Day Parade

Murrieta’s 9th Annual Veterans Day Parade kicks off at 10 a.m. on Nov. 11 at the corner of Ivy and Washington. When the Parade winds down at Town Square Park at noon, residents are invited to the unveiling of the Korean War Wall at the Veterans Memorial.

Lake Elsinore Grand Prix

500 Diamond Drive, Lake Elsinore

Come out and watch as motocross riders cruise their way on a wacky, winding course. The fun starts at 7 a.m. on Nov. 12-13. Admission is free.

Eleven to the Third Power Adventurer’s Party

Professor Pennypickles is set to celebrate the weird and mysterious day of 11-11-11 with some cool scientific fun at the Temecula Children’s Museum. The event runs from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. on Nov. 11.

Music at The Merc

Music is always happening at The Merc in Old Town Temecula. Friday’s feature good old fashioned rock ‘n roll and Saturday’s go country at 7 p.m. Tickets are $15. Then, it’s Classics at The Merc at 3 p.m. on Sunday. Tickets are $11.
