An alleged carjacker pulled a woman from her car as she stopped on a Hillcrest street today, and drove off with her car, San Diego police said.
The woman was driving her silver Mitsubishi sedan south in the 3700 block of 1st Avenue about 2:25 p.m., according to San Diego police Officer Frank Cali.
The woman stopped her vehicle and the suspect approached from behind and opened the driver’s door. The suspect told the victim to exit as he was pulling her out, Cali said.
The alleged carjacker jumped in the car and took off southbound on 1st Avenue, Cali said.
The suspect was described as a black male, about 25 years old and about 6 feet tall. He wore a plain white t-shirt, light blue jeans and was possibly wearing tan hospital slacks.
