Three young men and three teenagers were behind bars today for trying to steal aluminum from property in Desert Hot Springs.
Eddie and Edgar Navez, both 19, and Lebron Ross Flores, 18, all of Palm Springs, and the three teens were arrested after someone reported a burglary in progress in the 16000 block of Via Montana around 9:40 a.m. Tuesday, said Riverside County sheriff’s Deputy Angel Ramos.
“Deputies arrived (at) the location within minutes and noticed a rear window to the residence had been forced open. Inside the residence, deputies located three adults and three juveniles, all of whom were attempting to steal aluminum from the property,” Ramos said.
The three men were booked into the county jail in Indio on suspicion of residential burglary and conspiracy to commit a felony.
They were held on $25,000 bail each and were expected to be arraigned Thursday at the Larson Justice Center in Indio.
The teens, whose names were not released because they are underage, were booked into Juvenile Hall on suspicion of burglary, Ramos said.
