Although the game is a contractual sellout, a limited number of tickets remains available for next Monday’s game and can be purchased through Ticketmaster at $150 and $175, their face values.

The tickets were returned to the Tournament of Roses Association from non-participating schools in the Big Ten and Pacific-12 conferences, according to Gina Chappin, the game’s media director.

The Rose Bowl is being played Jan. 2 because of the tournament’s long-standing “never on Sunday” rule. New Year’s Day 2012 falls on a Sunday.
