For the first time ever, both the Magic Kingdom Park and Disneyland Park will stay open for general admission guests for 24 hours straight, from 6 a.m., Feb. 29 to 6 a.m., March 1.
Leap Day is on a Wednesday this year, and admission prices were not disclosed. A regular admission ticket to Disneyland is $80 for adults and children above 9, and $74 for children between 3-9.
Leading up to Leap Day, the theme parks are awarding sweepstakes prizes with daily prizes of a vacation for four at either Disneyland Resort in California or Walt Disney World Resort in Florida. Entrants do not have to attend the theme parks to enter the contests, and can enter by texting “disneyday” to 347639 (“DISNEY”), the company said.
