Palm Desert: Motorcyclist airlifted to hospital after crash

A motorcyclist who struck a parked car and sustained serious injuries was airlifted to a hospital, a county fire spokeswoman said.

The crash was reported about 1:55 p.m. at Desert Star Boulevard and Portola Avenue, Riverside County Fire Department spokeswoman Jody Hagemann said.

The rider was flown  to a local trauma center, she said.

The cause was under investigation.
