Two employees and the manager of a seafood restaurant in Banning were tied up and robbed today and the two suspects escaped with
roughly $3,000 in cash, police said.
Two suspects came to Fisherman’s Market & Grill in the 2200 block of West Ramsey Street around 9:30 a.m., before it opened, Banning police Sgt. Alex Diaz said.
They tied up the two employees present with zip ties and tied up the manager when he arrived, Diaz said.
“(The suspects) were wearing gloves and covering their heads,” said Diaz, adding that police didn’t know whether the two suspects were men or a man and a woman.
One suspect brandished what appeared to be a gun, and, Diaz said.
Another employee and a delivery driver found the three victims and untied them, and the manager called police, Diaz said.
“They were OK, just a little shaken,” Diaz said.
Police will examine surveillance footage for a look at the suspects, Diaz said.
Anyone with information on the robbery was asked to call police at 951-849-1194.

I always wondered why they put this great restaurant (love the one in Palm Desert/La Quinta) in such a horrible area. Hope the employees are okay…pack it up and move that restaurant to a place that deserves it!
