Local music artist Ashley Zavala continues to write and perform her music around town. And she is inviting fans and friends to come out and see what she’s been up to since her successful stint as a Temecula Valley International Film and Music Festival contestant.

“(The film festival) was a really good experience and it went so fast. I’ve been writing since then and recording songs,” said Zavala.
Zavala is set to perform at an open mic event at 7 p.m. on Jan. 19 at Simply Sharon’s, located at 27464 Jefferson Ave in Temecula.
“They’ve been doing something new (at Simply Sharon’s) where artists can come out and try their news songs before an audience. It’s a fun environment and the food is great,” Zavala said.
Simply Sharon’s Restaurant and Temequila Lounge, formerly Tony Roma’s, offers an open mic to local artists every Thursday night.
Zavala is also scheduled to bring her heart-tugging country sound to Temecula Live Songwriters showcase, a performance that offers artists the chance to showcase their original songs.
Fans can catch up with Zavala at 7 p.m. on Jan. 28 at The Merc, located at 42051 Main Street in Temecula.
