Warrant founder and guitarist Erik Turner will perform with his acoustic side project, Sunset Stripped, Feb. 2 at the Stellar Cellar Wine Bar.
Comprised of members from Temecula-based band Old School, Sunset Stripped is an acoustic and rhythmic group performing covers of Warrant tunes, as well as the music from popular ‘70s, ‘80s and ‘90s bands like the Beatles, Poison, Steve Miller, Guns N’ Roses and Led Zeppelin.
The group will perform is new original tune “Let’s Drink Wine Tonight” at the Stellar Cellar gig, appropriately enough.
The band includes drummer Chris Beall, vocalist Bryan Escobedo and guitarist Jason Ewig.
Turner is able to focus on Sunset, which performed its first show this past December, when Warrant takes some time off.
Warrant currently is on hiatus until the end of February, said the group’s publicist.
According to the group’s Facebook page, “A Sunset Stripped performance is all about the crowd singing, dancing and drinking up the good life, creating a rocking and fun atmosphere.”
The 8 p.m. show is free and is open to ages 21 and older only.
Stellar Cellar is located at 28636 Old Town Front St. #102.
