Murrieta runaways found safe, returned to parents

Two runaway Murrieta students have been found safe and unharmed, it was reported Thursday evening by the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department.

According to officials, Southwest Station investigators today located Odelea Justin and Kira Keys together — safe, in good health and uninjured.

The investigation revealed both girls had run away from Dorothy McElhinney Middle School of their own free will, without assistance from any third parties, and had not been the victim of any crimes while they were gone.

Both children were returned to their parents Thursday night.
