The Lake Elsinore Storm has released its promotions schedule for this season, which opens April 5 at Diamond Stadium, 500 Diamond Drive.

And they’re promising it won’t disappoint.
“This is a can’t-miss season,” said Robert Gillett, director of game operations who also performs as “The Rally Cop” and “Grounds Crew Gorilla” mascots.
Notable nights this year include Sgt. Slaughter Night, featuring a guest appearance by the former WWE champion.
“We are sure to have the same-sized crowd and same type of energy,” Gillett said of Sgt. Slaughter Night compared with last year’s national headline-grabbing Charlie Sheen-co de Mayo promotion, featuring Tiger Blood cocktails and a smoke-filled outfield entrance from “Wild Thing.”
On July 13, the Storm’s annual Night of Fellowship will attempt a “Tebowing” world record.
Other standout nights this season include Star Wars Night, with a lightsaber giveaway and Storm Wars short film viewing after the game; Moto X Night, with videos, vendors and giveaways; Dog Day, which will include dachshund dog races; and Beerfest in August.
The season will kick off with Storm Pride Championship Weekend that will feature presentations of the 2011 awards the California League Champions received. A championship replica ring will be given away on April 7 in celebration.
“It’s going to be an exciting season full of fun promotions,” Gillett said. “You’re going to get the same Storm quality in-game entertainment at every game.”
