Man discovered dead at Hemet campsite

A man was found dead today at the Lake Hemet Campground, but foul play is not suspected.

The body of 48-year-old Daniel Raridon of Hemet was discovered shortly before 8 a.m. at the campground at 56570 Highway 74, just south of Mountain Center.

“This individual was out there camping, and unfortunately, he passed on,” Deputy Angel Ramos told City News Service. “No foul play was involved.”

Raridon was found inside his tent. It wasn’t immediately clear how long he had been camping at the location, according to the coroner’s office.
