Three Perris gang members locked up after stabbing attack

Three suspected gang members are in jail after they were apprehended in a brutal knife attack, officials said.

The attack happened in the 27000 block of Highway 74 in Menifee in the evening of Feb. 21.  Witnesses told responding deputies they saw three individuals get out of a white four-door sedan and start stabbing the victim in a parking lot.

After assaulting the victim, the suspects fled the scene in their vehicle.

The critically injured victim was taken to the hospital with several serious stab wounds but is expected to recover.

The assault was determined to be gang–related and involved three Perris gang members, court documents stated.

Investigators tracked down the three suspected gang-members and the vehicle used in the crime. Items linking the gang members to the assault were located in the white sedan.

The suspects were arrested and booked into the Robert Presley Detention center for attempted murder.
