Construction work on westbound Interstate 10 in the Banning area that was delayed by Monday night’s wintry weather will begin tonight.
Alternating lanes will be closed from 8 p.m. until 5 a.m. on westbound I-10 and on- and off-ramps between Hargrave Street and Sunset Avenue.
The closures will accommodate slab replacement and grooving work on the freeway, Caltrans spokeswoman Michelle Profant said.
The work was scheduled to start Monday night but was delayed because of weather, she said.
Profant said tonight’s work, “as with everything, (is) subject to weather.”
