Vin Scully to scale back duties with the Dodgers

Vin Scully is going to say adieu to Denver, and further scale back his workload with the Los Angeles Dodgers this year, it was reported today.

Los Angeles Times sportswriters analyzed the fine print on the Dodgers’ TV schedule, and reported today that Scully will no longer call games from the Mile High City.

Scully, 84, will still be behind the microphone for more than 100 Dodgers games in Phoenix, San Diego, the Bay Area, Anaheim and, of course, Dodger Stadium.

The Hall of Fame sportscaster is entering his 63rd season.

Several years ago, he stopped travelling to games east of Colorado. Scully was to arrive in Phoenix this weekend to call a couple of spring
training games, weather permitting.

The forecast for the Valley of the Sun was for clouds and wind today, with rain arriving from California on Sunday.
