Deputies arrested a San Jacinto man suspected of domestic abuse, a sheriff’s department spokesman said today.
Paul Adam Pervan, 45, was arrested Saturday and booked into the Larry D. Smith Correctional Facility in Banning on suspicion of corporal injury on a spouse or fellow parent, said sheriff’s Sgt. Jesus Orona.
Deputies responded to a call of domestic violence at a residence in the 100 block of Victoria Avenue about 12:35 a.m. Saturday, but learned that Pervan had fled the area, according to the sergeant.
They were called back at about 7:25 a.m. and found Pervan hiding in the back yard of the residence. As deputies approached him, Pervan began jumping fences into adjoining residences, Orona said.
A neighbor’s tip led deputies to where Pervan was hiding, and he was arrested without incident, Orona said.
Pervan was being held today in lieu of $50,000 bail, pending a court date Wednesday at the Southwest Justice Center in Murrieta, jail records showed.
