Police search for Palm Springs woman abducted by ex-boyfriend

A Palm Springs woman was abducted this afternoon, allegedly by her ex-boyfriend, a police sergeant said.

Police received a report of domestic violence and a kidnapping in the 300 block of West Mariscal Road around 3:30 p.m., Sgt. Mike Kovaleff said.

John Davis Wright, 31, allegedly broke into the residence of 24-year-old Elisa Hulett and forced her to leave with him, Kovaleff said.

“Wright was last seen pulling Hulett down the street from the location on foot,” Kovaleff alleged. He added the police were not aware of any vehicles being involved.

White was described as black, 6 feet 2 inches tall, 220 pounds and bald, with brown eyes. He was last seen wearing a white T-shirt and blue jeans.

Hulett, who is also black, is 5 feet 2 inches tall and 165 pounds, with brown eyes and black hair. She was last seen wearing a blue and white shirt and blue jeans.

Anyone with information about Wright’s or Hulett’s whereabouts was asked to call 911 or phone police at(760) 327-1441.
