UPDATE: Boy found safe and is being returned to his mother. His father is in custody, officials reported. They were found in Idyllwild by a sharp-eyed citizen.
Original: Officers from the San Jacinto Police Department are on the hunt for 25-year-old Anthony Smith-Dixon, who snatched his child, Domenic Smith, 5, from a child care facility located in the 1900 block of Tennyson Street in San Jacinto on March 22, officials reported.
The boy’s mother had court ordered custodial rights and even obtained a separate restraining order out of fear of Smith-Dixon.

Smith-Dixon is believed to be driving a gold early 2000 model Saturn 4-door sedan. The driver’s side door panel may be missing due to a recent accident.
The kidnapper is an African-American adult male, approximately 6’3” tall, 185 lbs. with black hair and brown eyes. He was last seen wearing a thick black and white jacket and dark colored pants, a report stated.
The little boy is described as an African-American male, approximately 3’6” tall, 50lbs., black hair and brown eyes. He was last seen wearing a brown shirt with an unidentified logo on the front and blue pants.
