A man driving a compact vehicle drove into a full-sized truck in Lake Elsinore and was killed, deputies and the coroner said today.
Miguel Torres, 24, of Mira Loma, was killed in the 9:11 p.m. Friday crash on Old Elsinore Road, just north of Marie Road, said Cheri Patterson of the Riverside County Fire Department.
Firefighters freed Torres and an unidentified passenger from the wreckage, and both were hospitalized. Torres was pronounced dead at Riverside County Regional Medical Center at 10:08 p.m. Friday, according to the coroner.
The truck driver was not hurt and the California Highway Patrol was investigating the crash, Patterson said.
