Anyone wishing to catch a glimpse of some of the region’s most unique birds is invited to attend a bird walk from 8 to 11 a.m. on April 7 at the Lake Elsinore Levee, it was recently announced.
Participants will meet at the Storm Stadium parking lot prior to 8 a.m. that day.
Bird-watchers will get the chance to view the Western and Clark’s Grebe courting or nesting. The large Heron and Egret nesting population should be visible, as well as many other species.
Guests are urged to wear study shoes, a hat, water, snacks, binoculars, sunscreen and dress for the weather. Spotting scope and cameras are welcome.
After birding at the levee, guests are invited to watch the Heron/Egret nesting population near Riverside and Lakeshore Drives, where you can see the birds up close.
