Riverside courthouse evacuated after bomb threat

Update 12:30 p.m.: The Riverside Hall of Justice in downtown Riverside was evacuated today in response to a bomb scare. Court personnel, jurors, attorneys and others were ordered out of the six-story structure about 10:30 a.m. after a report of a possible hazardous device on the premises, according to police.

A 300-foot perimeter was established around the building as a safety precaution.

Details about the alleged threat were not immediately available.

On Jan. 19, the entire downtown court complex, comprising three buildings, was evacuated after an unidentified man phoned in a bomb threat. No explosives were found after an hours-long search.
