Jazz legend Richie Cole is set to perform with the Jon Laskin Band along with Harold Mason on drums as part of the grand opening of Jazzy’s Restaurant, it was recently announced.

Two shows are planned: 6 p.m. and 8:30 p.m. on June 1 at Temecula’s live jazz venue located at Palomar Village Shopping Center, 30590 Rancho California Road in Temecula.

Cole, a Berklee College of Music graduate, joined the Buddy Rich Orchestra in 1969, later caught on with Lionel Hampton’s band, and partnered in the 1970s with Eddie Jefferson to revolutionize the art of vocalese.
Cole also was music director for the Manhattan Transfer.
Jon Laskin’ has performed with such greats as Jose Feliciano, Billy Preston, Duffy Jackson (with the Count Basie band), jazz legend- Chubby Jackson (with the Woody Herman band), Richie Cole, Dick Berk, Gil Bernal, Alex Ligertwood (of Santana) and more.
Live Jazz with Jon Laskin Band and weekly special guests will continue with two shows every Friday night. There is no cover charge or tickets required.
