Small temblor strikes near San Diego, Mexico border

A magnitude-3.1 earthquake was recorded today near Guadalupe Victoria, Mexico, where a magnitude-7.2 quake struck Easter Day 2010.

The magnitude-3.1 quake was recorded at 2:21 a.m. about 100 miles east- southeast of San Diego, but there were no reports of damage, according to a preliminary report from the U.S. Geological Survey.
